去髓之墨西哥蔗渣以碱性亞硫酸鈉-蒽醌法添加及不添加乙醇來製漿。探討溫度、時間、用藥量,不同去髓程度以及蒽醌和乙醇添加物等要素對蒸煮的影響。在碱性亞硫酸鈉-蒽醌-乙醇法中,蒸煮溫度以及用碱量是主要決定因素。20分鐘的持溫時間可以製出低卡巴值而物理性質非常良好的紙漿。添加乙醇時僅能稍微影響製漿,而添加蒽醌則不可或缺。採用碱性亞硫酸納-蒽焜法也可以製取高收率及高白度且物理性質非常良好的蔗漿。蒸煮時脫木質素可以達到低卡巴值,而不會嚴重引起纖維之降解作用,所以有利於紙漿之漂白。採用含氯或不含氯的漂白藥劑以二段或三段式來漂漿,可製取白度高而物理性質優良的紙漿。苦採用非氯系藥劑來漂漿而能密閉工廠的水循環,則不排放廢水的製漿法可望實現。

Depithed Mexican bagasse was pulped by using the alkaline sulfite-anthraquinone process with or without the addition of ethanol. The effects of the following cooking parameters were investigated: temperature, time, chemical charge, the degree of depithing, and addition of anthraquinone and alcohol. Temperature and total alkali charge are the dominant factors in the AS-AQ-ethanol process. A cooking time of 20 minutes results in pulp with low kappa numbers and excellent strength properties. Only a marginal effect on pulping results could be obtained by the addition of alcohol whereas the application of AQ is indispensable. The AS-AQ process could also result in good yields and in pulps with high brightness and excellent strength properties. Delignification could be performed to extremely low kappa numbers without severe degradation of pulp which favours belaching of pulp. Pulp bleaching can be done in two or three stages with chlorine or chlorine free chemicals yielding high brightness and good pulp strengths. A pollution free pulp production with closed water cycle is possible by using exclusively chlorine free compounds for full bleaching purpose.
