八種木材及五種防腐劑之抗蟻性的室內促進試驗

The Accelerated Laboratory Test of the Natural Antitermite Characteristics of Eight Wood Species and Five Wood Preservations

摘要


本報告係利用室內促進方法以探討八種未處理木材與五種防腐劑之抗白蟻性,得到次述的結果:(1)未處理木材之室內抗蟻性可以試材外觀評分值與重量保留率判定之,而藥劑處理材則可以白蟻死亡數判定之。(2)未處理材之外觀評分值及重量保留率均會隨試材比重及硬度增加而呈直線狀增大,但與精油含量則無相關。但白蟻死亡數則會隨其精油含量增加而增大。(3)本實驗未處理材之抗白蟻性係以相思樹、椎木、扁柏及台灣杉心材等較佳,而以杉木及台灣杉邊材較差。(4)藥劑處理材之白蟻死亡數是以CCA TypeB會顯著的大於CCA TypeC及CCB,又Antiborer 10EC及TBTQ之3%濃度處理材會顯著的大於CCA TypeC及CCB,但與CCA TypeB則無顯著差異。

The natural antitermite characteristics of eight wood species and fire various preservatives by accelerated laboratary test were investigated. The experimental results are summarized as follows (1) The natural antitermite behaviors of eight untreated wood specimens could be evaluated by two methods: the first is by the visible features of wood after tests and the second by weight retention rate of woods. However, the resistance of preservatives to termite was evaluated by termite mortality. (2) The values of gross features evaluation and weight retention rate of woods increased linearly with increasing their specific gravity in air dry condition and the hardness, respectively, and there was no significant relation to the essential oil content of specimens. while, the values of termite mortality increased with increasing the essential oil content of specimens. (3) In this study, Taiwan acacia, longleaf evergreen Chinkapin, Taiwan yellow cypress and Taiwania (heartwood) showed better natural antitermite behaviors while, the others, such as china fir and Taiwania (sapwood) were less resistant to termite. (4) The values of termite mortality of CCA Type B treated specimens were significantly greater than those of CCA Type C and CCB treated-specimens, while the values of termite mortality for the specimens-treated by 3% solution Antiborer 10 Ec and TBTO were significantly greater than those of CCA Type C and CCB, but there were no significant difference with CCA Type B.
