熱燙處理對杉木表面性質之影響

摘要


省產造林木表面性質之改良為林產加工利用的重要課題之一。本試驗以熱燙處理杉木,期能改善其表面性質。試驗結果證實,熱燙處理能降低材面之粗糙度,使木材表面較為光滑,故光澤度增大,而木材表面之變色輕微且材色較為明亮,此外,由接觸角增大得知木材之抗水性增加,但是對於聚胺基甲酸醋塗膜的附著性並沒有影響,又由熱燙後材面硬度之增大與耐磨性之增加,顯示可擴展其加工利用領域及延長製品的使用年限。

Modification of the surface property of wood species planted in Taiwan is one of the important research topics of forest product utilization. The objective of this study was, after treating China fir with hot ironing, to examine the changes in surface properties of wood such as color, roughness, hardness....etc. The experimental results demonstrate that hot ironing treatment could densify the wood surface, reduce the roughness, increase the gloss. The color change of China fir treated with hot ironing was barely observed, but became slightly brighter. Results obtained from the increase of contact angle indicated that the water resistance of China fir was improved after hot ironing treatment and no adverse effect occurred on the adhesion of wood and polyurethane coating. Furthermore, the surface hardness and abrasion resistance of China fir were improved. Accordingly, it demonstrated that hot ironing treatment should facilitate the utilization of China fir and prolong the life of its products.
