低甲醛尿素膠應用於纖維板製造之探討

Study on the Manufacturing of Fiberboards Using Low Formaldehyde Urea Adhesives

摘要


本研究乃探討以二次尿素添加法所合成之低F/U mole比尿素膠應用於纖維板製造之可行性。所得結果可歸納如下:二次尿素添加法所合成之尿素膠在F/U mole比為1.2~1.6之間時,其粘度無明顯差異,然隨F/U mole比減少其膠化時間延長,游離甲醛含量則降低。各不同F/U mole比尿素膠所製纖維板之性質均可符合CNS 9909號標準中對半硬質纖維板之要求。纖維板製造時,隨用膠量增加,靜曲強度(MOR)、靜曲彈性係數(MOE)、內聚強度(IB)增大,浸水時之吸水率及厚度膨脹率降低。降低尿素膠合成時F/U mole比對減少板材游離甲醛釋出之效果遠大於降低用膠量者。

The feasibility of fiberboards made with urea formaldehyde adhesive (UF) synthesized by low F/ U molar ratios was investigated in this study. The results were summarized as follows: The UF adhesives synthesized by second urea added method at the molar ratio of F/U within 1.2-1.6 had no significant difference for their viscosities, but the decrement of F/ U molar ratio would increase the gelation time and decrease the free formaldehyde content. The properties of fiberboards made with UF adhesives by various molar ratios of F/ U could exceed the requirements of CNS 9909 for the semihard fiberboard. The increment of glue rate would increase the MOR, MOE and IB of fiberboards, and decrease the water adsorption and thickness swelling of fiberboards when soaked under water. The reduction of the formaldehyde emission from fiberboards would more effective by using the low F/ U molar ratio adhesives than decreasing the glue rate.
