摘要

本研究之目的在調查分析台灣地區目前各種用途木材消費情形，根據調查研究結果所得，目前（1995年底止）在（Ⅰ）用材消費方面－其中包括合板用材消費量約為155萬m^3，建築用材消費量約為172萬m^3，學校課桌椅用材消費量約為3.6萬m^3，坑木用材消費量約為1.0萬m^3，鉛筆用材消費量約為2.3萬m^3，貨櫃用材消費量約為8.9萬m^3，家具木器用材消費量約為131萬m^3，棺木用材消費量約為9.5萬m^3，其他用材消費量約為29.9萬m^3等合計約為514萬m^3，另外在（Ⅱ）漿材消費方面，其消費量約為138萬m^3，將（Ⅰ）用材消費及（Ⅱ）漿材消費兩者合計，一年木材總消費量約為652萬m^3。

The purpose of this paper is to analyze and estimate current timber consumption. At present, more than 99 percent of timber consumed is imported. Total timber consumption is estimated to be 6.52 million m^3 in 1995. Of this volume, plywood accounted for 23% or about 1.55 million m^3, furniture 20% or about 1.31 million m^3, pulp 21% or about 1.38 million m^3, construction 26% or about 1.72 million m^3, and mining 0.2% or about 10 thousand m^3.
