台灣木質容器業現況分析與展望

摘要

近年來，由於國內外產業結構之變遷，導致台灣木質容器業呈明顯衰退趨勢。因此本研究擬藉由收集台灣木質容器業相關資訊和木質容器產品進出口貿易等次融資料，及對木質容器製造業進行問卷調查而獲取初級資料，進行產業競爭力分析之探討，期能瞭解台灣木質容器業之經營現況，掌握市場發展趨勢，並提出未來發展方向之建議，以提供政府提訂相關產業政策與業者因應挑戰之參考。研究結果得知，台灣木質容器業經營面臨原料取得不易且成本高、勞力成本上揚與國際產品競爭激烈等問題。我國木質容器產品之進出口貿易，主要出口國家為日本與美國；進口國家為中國大陸與印尼。國內木質容器製造業多屬於中小型企業。在產業競爭，情報與資訊來源方面，依資訊來臨因素排序，則以「同業公開報表」為台灣木質容器製造業者之主要資訊來源。就產業競爭環境方面，依Porter（1980）之理論分析結果，台灣木質容器業所面臨之競爭威脅極高，造成產業獲利的降低，此威脅來自於亞洲國家木質容器業之壓力，木質容器購買者之強而有力的議價優勢，以及木質原料供應商的高議價能力等。因此，對於現階段台灣木質容器業之未來發展建議，包括有競爭資訊收集系統之建立、原料來源多樣化與產品差異化等方向，以提昇國際市場之競爭能力。

Taiwan wooden containers industry declined conspicuously as a result of the dramatic transition of the industry structure. The originally exporting wooden containers have increasingly been replaced by imported products. This study aimed at collecting relative information on amount and the import and export trading value as the secondary data, while the primary data include those obtained from questionnaire survey from wooden containers manufacturers. An analysis of these information to explore the competitiveness of the industry was conducted. The current status of the management and manufacture of wooden containers, the market development trend, and the future direction were derived and discussed. The results show that the industry encounters the difficulty of raw materials acquisition, significant uprising raw material costs, and labor capital as well as strong competition from international products. The main export destination of the products are Japan and America, while China and Indonesia, the main importing origins. Most of the wooden container manufacturers in Taiwan are medium and small-sized business. The publicized reports are the primary source of their information from, The industry faces strong competition from other Asian countries according to Porter's competitive environment analysis the profitability thus decreases year after year. The superior negotiating power of wooden containers buyers and raw material suppliers are another factors affecting the profit. For the future development of the industry establishing an information exchange system, boarding the sources of raw material and diversifying product category are processes that would promote the competitiveness in cost and market of the products.
