以農用燻蒸劑—邁隆進行褐根腐病害區之土壤燻蒸

Fumigation of the Brown Root Rot Disease Area with Agricultural Fumigant-Dazomet

摘要


林業試驗所六龜研究中心樹木標本園遭受樹木褐根腐病危害。受害樹木種類計有桃花心木、巴西橡膠樹、卡鄧柏、銀樺、欖仁、竹柏及火焰木。面積達2000 m^2。農用燻蒸劑-邁隆在實驗室中測試,能有效率地殺死褐根腐病菌。將枯萎的樹木砍伐後,以挖土機將殘根移除。再以600 kg/ha的劑量,用挖土機將邁隆拌入病土中,加入充分的水後,以黑色厚塑膠布覆蓋燻蒸區,以避免燻蒸氣體逸散到空氣中,14天後,同法再燻蒸一次。燻蒸後褐根腐病菌明顯減少。燻蒸後5個月,該區域進行樹種補植,補植的樹木包括台灣櫸、光蠟樹、小芽新木薑子、胭脂樹、香桂、杜英、印度栲、青剛櫟、香葉樹、過山香等皆為褐根腐病之寄主,經12個月的觀察,大都生長良好,未受褐根病菌感染。

Trees in the tree specimen garden of Liukuei Research Center of Taiwan Forestry Research Institute was infected by tree brown root rot disease. The infected tree species included Swietenia mahogoni (L.) Jacq., Castilla elastica Cerv., Catalpa speciosa Warde ex Ergelm, Grevillea robusta A.Cunn., Terminalia catappa Linn., Nageia nagi (Thunb.)O.Ktze, and Spathodea campanulata Beauv. The total infected area was near 2,000 m^2. Dazomet is an agricultural fumigant, which killed the brown root rot disease fungus effectively in the laboratory test. The dead trees were felled and their residual roots were removed by excavators. Dazomet (600 kg/ha) was mixed with the infected soil by excavators. After adding ample water to the soil mixed with Dazomet, the thick black plastic cloth was used to cover the treated area to prevent the fumigant gas to escape into the air. After two weeks, the treated area was fumigated again in the same way. The brown root rot fungus decreased significantly after fumigation. Five months after fumigation, the treated area was replanted with tree species including Zelkova serrata (Thunb.) Makino, Fraxinus griffithii C. B. Clarke, Neolitsea parvigemma (Hayata) Kanehira & Sasaki, Bixa orellana L., Cinnamomum subavenium Miq., Elaeocarpus decipiens Hemsl., Castanopsis indica (Roxb.) A. DC., Cyclobalanopsis glauca (Thumb.) Oerst., Lindera communis Hemsl., and Clausena excavata Burm. Although these tree species are the hosts of Phellinus noxius (Corner) Cunningham, they had grown well for 12 months in the treated area and not been infected by P. noxius.
