The purpose of this study was to analyze growth model and estimate the aboveground biomass and carbon storage of 94 year old Cryptomeria japonica D. Don plantation on Duie-Guo-Yue area of the experimental forest, NTU in central Taiwan. The results showed that the determination coefficient of DBH and tree height fitted by five growth models were from 0.935 to 0.995 and 0.914 to 0.946, respectively, and Mitcherlich, Gompertz and Richrads models have better fitting results. The aboveground biomass production was 377.2 ton ha-1, the average annual aboveground biomass production was 9.04 ton ha-1yr-1 estimated by function of standard stands, and carbon storage in aboveground of trees estimated was 4.44 ton ha-1yr-1 or 16.3ton ha-1yr-1 CO2. These results will support the prediction of growth process and management of Cryptomeria japonica D. Don plantation.
