臺大實驗林清水溝及水里營林區白蟻物種多樣性及分布

Diversity and Distribution of Termites in Qingshuigou and Shuili Management District of the Experimental Forest, National Taiwan University

摘要


白蟻是森林生態系中不可或缺的一環,釐清一個地區的白蟻物種多樣性及分布有助於進一步估算該地區生物多樣性、木材分解速率以及碳循環情形。本研究針對臺大實驗林所轄之清水溝及水里營林區,以定時採集法進行白蟻物種調查。本研究於清水溝營林區調查到4科6屬7種白蟻,於水里營林區調查到4科8屬9種白蟻,並於清水溝及水里營林區新增了小象白蟻(Nasutitermes parvonasutus)及穿山甲木鼻白蟻(Stylotermes halumicus)之分布紀錄,以及一個在臺灣未曾紀錄過的樹白蟻屬物種(Glyptotermes sp.)。

Termites play an important role in forest ecosystems, and understanding their biodiversity and distribution is essential for estimating wood decomposition rate, carbon cycling, and overall ecosystem biodiversity. In this study, we conducted a termite survey in the Qingshuigou and Shuili Management District of the Experimental Forest of National Taiwan University in Nantou, Taiwan. We collected a total of 7 species from 6 genera and 4 families in Qingshuigou, and 9 species from 8 genera and 4 families in Shuili Management District. Notably, we discovered new distribution records of Nasutitermes parvonasutus and Stylotermes halumicus, as well as an unrecorded Glyptotermes sp. from Taiwan in both Qingshuigou and Shuili Management District.
