紅土製作低強度土磚之開發研究

Making Earth Bricks Using Lateritic Soil

摘要


過去對工程廢棄土的研究,主要係將廢土與黏結材料拌合進行穩定化處理,以便做為路基土壤或基層之用,施工方法較為簡單但經濟效益較低。本研究使用廢棄土製成低強度土磚,將棄土壓鑄成塊狀後,做為農村地區的一些非結構性利用,如造景、園藝、水土保持、或護坡工程等應用,為一具有實用價值的處理方式。利用國內工程建設的廢棄土作為低強度土磚的素材,不但可以降低成本,而且將欲拋棄之土壤加以資源化再利用,相當具有意義。本研究以桃園地區廢棄紅土與少量的水泥混合攪拌,壓製成低強度土磚試體。一方面探討紅土~水泥混合物水化反應後試體強度之發展情形,另一方面則利用統計方法檢驗壓製方法與配方對土磚性質的影響,並進行土塊試體有關耐候、耐磨之耐久性試驗,以尋求廢棄土製作土磚時之較佳配方,並進一步壓鑄成標準土磚,經大氣養治後提供廢棄土附近地區的有關應用。

The soil used in this study was a lateritic soil taken from Taoyuan County. Various amounts of cement and fly ash were added to the .soil to study the feasibility of manufacturing earth bricks by static compaction techniques. The results indicated that the higher the cement content, the greater is the strength of earth bricks. Based on 28-day compressive strength, earth bricks made using lateritic soil with 10% cement content can be as high as 119 kg/cm^2. Also, the resistance to wet-dry cycling of these bricks has been found to be good. The feasibility of solidifying admixture in the soil-cement mixture was also assessed. It was found that the addition of fly ash has an decreasing effect on the strength of earth bricks. Therefore, the use of fly ash in the formula is unnecessary. According to analyzing experimental results, organic material in the soil is detrimental to the long-term performance of earth bricks. Consequently, lateritic soils that contain much organic matters are not recommended for use in manufacturing earth bricks.
