Two newly naturalized plants, Tinospora crispa (L.) J. D. Hook. & Thom. (Menispermaceae) and Passiflora laurifolia L. (Passifloraceae) in Taiwan are reported here. The characters of T. crispa can be identified from the endemic species, Tinospora dentata Diels by the leaf shape that the former is cordate to broadly cordate, and the latter is sagittate. The species P. laurifolia can be distinguished from P. quadrangularis L. by gland numbers on the petiole that the former has two glands and the latter has four to six. The morphological description, line-drawings and ecological information of these two species are provided to add the inventory of Taiwan and for species identification.
