摘要

本試驗旨在評估玫瑰紅、夾竹桃紅兩種光活化物質運用於防治入侵紅火蟻之可能性。以含玫瑰紅和夾竹桃紅等6種不同濃度之10%蔗糖餌劑餵食入侵紅火蟻為試驗處理，並在無光照及光照12小時處理環境下，評估餌劑處理對入侵紅火蟻之死亡率。試驗結果，無照光處理之餌劑對工蟻不具毒性，照光12小時之各濃度餌劑，於處理15天後工蟻致死率高達98.6%，對幼蟲致死率則較低為60.7%以上。

The test was conducted to estimate the feasibility of killing red imported fire ant, RIFA by feeding them with the baits of light activated materials of Rose Bengal and Phloxine B. RlFA were fed with 10% sucrose baits contained Rose Bengal and Phloxine B of six rates respectively and kept them in the dark or 12 hrs light environment. The results showed that these baits were not toxic to RIFA workers when the workers were kept them in the dark environment after feeding, whereas the mortality of workers and larvae treated with these baits were up to 98.6% and over 60.7% respectively, if they were kept in the 12 hrs light environment after feeding 15 days.
