Synergistic Activities of Combinations of Antibiotics against Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus

抗生素對Methicillin耐性金黃色葡萄球菌〈MRSA〉的協同作用之檢討

摘要


近年來,methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus〈 MRSA〉經常從醫院的檢體中被分離,而且 MRSA所引起的感染症也在增加中,在臨床治療上已成為一個重大的問題。 本研究的材料是由醫院中分離所得的MRSA,共62菌株,然後我們利用微量液體稀釋法來分析,檢討vancomycin-minocycline, vancomycin-cefamandole, vancomycin-fosfomycin, cefamandole-minocycline和cefamandole-fosfomycin的協同作用的情形,由其結果可判定協同作用〈FIC index≦0.5〉的菌株,分別為vancomycin-minocycline有4菌株〈6.4%〉,vancomycin-cefamandole有52菌株〈84%〉,vancomycin-fosfomycin有13菌株〈20.9%〉,cefamandole-Minocycline有12菌株〈19.3%〉和cefamandole-fosfomycin有62菌株〈100%〉,再根據平均FIC indices的方法來計算,可知vancomycin-minocycline是1.50, vancomycin-cefamandole是0.39, vancomycin-fosfomycin是0.64,cefamandole-minocycline是0.85和cefamandole-fosfomycin是0.25。這次對於MRSA菌株的抗生素協同作用檢討的結果cefamandole-fosfomycin的殺菌效果效率為最優越。

The effect of an antibiotic combination against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus which is frequently found in hospitalized patients were investigated. By means of the microtiter checkerboard method, combinations of vancomycin-minocycline, vancomycin-cefamandole, vancomycin-fosfomycin, cefamandole-minocycline and cefamandole-fosfomycin were found to be synergistic against 6.4, 84.0, 20.9, 19.3 and 100.0% of the sixty-two strains tested, respectively. The means of the fractional inhibitory concentration (FIC) indices of vancomycin-minocycline, vancomycin-cefamandole, vancomycin-fosfmycin, cefamandole-minocycline and cefamandole-fosfomycin were 1.50, 0.39, 0.64, 0.85 and 0.25, respectively. Thus, the effect of the combination of cefamandole-fosfomycin was superior to other combinations.
