Thiols對小白鼠輻射保護作用之研究

Study on the Radioprotection of Thiols on Mice

摘要


依放射線照射之有無及在放射線照之前後,分別將0.5ml/kg的Hokuphagen注射到6-7週大的ICR種系小白鼠腹腔中,每日一次,連續一週。各項不同的處理之後,測量小白鼠體內血液成份的變化情形,並調查其體重及存活率,以探討在thiol類分子的作用下,小白鼠對於放射線的反應程度,分析thiol類分子對小白鼠的輻射保護作用。 結果顯示:放射線照射之前,連續注射Hokuphagen,可以幫助小白鼠加速恢復其白血球與白小板的數量,但對紅血球的影響則較不明顯;然而,在照射之後,再連續注射Hokuphagen,對白血球、紅血球與血小板的數量影響並不顯著。在體重方面,放射線照射前與照射後注射Hokuphagen者,其體重之恢復均較放射線對照組者為快。至於120天內存活的分布情形,各組間雖有少量差異,但在統計上並不顯著。

In order to evaluate the potential action of Hokuphagen as a chemical protector, different sequence of X-irradiation with or without Hokuphagen administration in the groups of ICR strain mice were injected by the dose of 0.5 ml/kg i.p. Hokuphagen, once a day for one week. After the different treatments, whole blood was collected from the tail endings to observe the fluctuation of blood cell counts for RBC, WBC and platelets. Body weigth measurement and survivl fraction were also recorded up to 120 days to investigate radiation induced body damage and subsequent Hokuphagen related modification of effect. It was revealed that the recovery of counts of WBC and platelet was earlier for Hokuphagen injected before irradiation but not for Hokuphagen injected after irradiation or other kinds of treatment. However, compared with each of the treatment groups, the recovery of RBC did not show any significant difference. In regard to the changes in body weight, the recovery was earlier and the increase was faster by treatments of Hokuphagen injected befor and after irradiation than by irradiation alone. In adition, the survial fraction within 120 days after various treatments, except Hlkuphagen injected alone, showed some differences but not significant by statistical analysis.
