Effect of Sponge and Position on the Frequency Response and Total Harmonic Distortion of Earbud-Type Earphone

海綿及其位置對耳塞式耳機的頻率響應與總諧波失真之影響

摘要


本文研究耳機海綿及耳機在鼻甲(concha)腔內的擺放位置對塞耳式耳機之聲壓級(SPL)與總諧波失真(THD)的影響。量測SPL與THD時,以一個周圍聲場類似於人體且具有耳廓的人工頭來施測,然後依據人耳構造與塞耳式耳機的使用法,來選定耳機置放於鼻甲腔內的三個不同擺放位置,這些人工頭與電聲量測設備皆置於無回響室內。研究結果顯示,塞耳式耳機的海綿增強了SPL而且也降低了THD。在低頻且低於共振頻率時,塞耳式耳機於鼻甲腔內的擺放位置對SPL和THD的影響非常明顯。對於一般塞耳式耳機使用者,本文建議耳機應直接安置於沿著耳屏、對耳屏及耳輪腳所形成之圓周內且耳屏稍略涵蓋耳機。此外,耳機線應該置於耳珠邊的缺口處。

This paper presents the effect of sponge on the earphone and position of earbud-type earphone in concha on sound pressure level (SPL) and total harmonic distortion (THD). Head and torso simulator (HATS) with silicon pinna, which resembles an exact acoustic field around human subject, is employed to replace human head. Based on anatomy of human ear, and earphone usage, three different earphone's positions in the concha are identified. To measure SPL and THD, electroacoustic equipments are employed in an anechoic chamber. The earphone with sponge enhances the SPL and lowers THD. The position of earphone in concha affects SPL and THD more prominently at low frequency below earphone's resonant frequency. For common user, it is recommended to place earphone in concha directly against its surface and supported along circumference by tragus, anti-tragus and crus helias while the tragus slightly covers the earphone. Additionally, its wire should be located along the tragal notch.
