Sliding Friction Behaviors of Lithium Grease with Nickel Nanoparticles as an Additive for Pneumatic Cylinder

摘要


本文研究以鎳(Ni)的奈米顆粒作為添加劑與潤滑脂合成添入氣壓缸分析其摩擦特性。潤滑脂與鎳(Ni)奈米添加顆粒合成濃度分別為0.5wt%、1.0wt%和2.0wt%。使用X光繞射分析儀(XRD)和電子顯微鏡(SEM)檢視鎳(Ni)奈米顆粒其特徵。實驗中使用鎳(Ni)奈米潤滑脂至入氣壓缸使其潤滑。在氣壓缸上這是一種新型且自行設計之摩擦力的量測系統,用於量測氣壓缸孔徑與活塞密封圈之間之摩擦力。實驗設備設計為控制驅動缸的速度和壓力進行密封圈和潤滑脂之間之影響進行評估。量測之摩擦力如圖所示其速度可達200mm/s。結果表明鎳(Ni)奈米添加顆粒能減少摩擦力和穩定氣壓缸孔徑與活塞密封圈之間的往復運動。

This paper studied the friction properties of lubricating grease with nickel (Ni) nanoparticles as an additive for pneumatic cylinder. Lubricating grease was synthesized with Ni nanoparticles at concentrations 0.5wt%, 1.0wt% and 2.0wt%. Ni nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In the experiments, Ni nano grease was used to lubricate a pneumatic cylinder. A novel self-designed friction force measuring system of a pneumatic cylinder was employed to measure the friction force between a cylinder bore and a piston seal. Experimental equipments were designed to assess the effects of seals and lubrication, where the velocity and pressure of the driving cylinder were controlled. As shown from measurements of friction forces, velocities were up to 200 mm/s. These results indicate nano-Ni additive can reduce the friction force and stabilize the reciprocate motion between piston seal and cylinder bore.
