The Two-Dimensional Analysis of Laminar Flow between the Moving Plates with Arrayed Rods

This study analyzes the viscous fluid flow between the moving top and bottom plates with arrayed rectangle rods. The fluid velocity is described using Poisson equations, and calculated using the point-matching method. The result shows that when the plates move forward, the fluid moves in the same direction, and that the f Re value decreases as the plate velocity increases. However, when the plates move backward, a backflow occurs between the top and bottom plates, and the f Re value is higher at larger negative plate velocity. As well as the local fluid velocity, the mean fluid velocity and volume flow rate as influenced by the moving plates and arrayed rods are discussed.
