The purpose of this study was to explore the sleep quality and its influencing factors among different medical staffs in a hospital. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) was applied to represent the sleep quality of each individual. 200 questionnaires were sent out, and the retrieval rate was 93.7%. We found that the majority of medical staffs had poor sleep quality. The result of ANOVA showed that there was significant difference among the three groups with nurses reporting having the worst sleep quality. The influencing factors for sleep latency were sex, education, marital status, number of children, and belief. The influencing factors for daytime dysfunction was number of children; for use of sleeping medication were education and marital status; for habitual sleep efficiency was gender. The results of this study will enable the medical staffs to understand the influencing factors of sleep quality, and suggestion must be made to the hospital chiefs to attach importance of the sleep quality of medical staffs.
