某醫學中心護理工作職場暴力評估之研究

The Evaluation of Nursing Workplace Violence in a Medical Center

摘要


本文旨在探討某醫學中心護理人員經歷職場暴力之情形,剖析遭遇職場暴力感受、對其專業工作後續之影響。採描述性調查型研究,以某醫學中心基層護理人員為對象,採系統抽樣方式,抽取225名護理人員,以半結構式問卷收集資料,回收有效問卷174份,回應率77.3%。結果在174位護理人員中有146位(83.9%)表示曾遭受過職場暴力,其中有108位(74%)發生於1年內,職場暴力的主要來源為病人106人(72.6%),職場暴力的類型以:「言語直接攻擊」120人(82.2%)最多,遭遇職場暴力事件當時之感受依序有:憤怒生氣、傷心難過、委屈想哭,有81位(55.5%)會向上級長官報告,採取之調適策略以與同事、家人、好友討論最多。結果所呈現護理人員經歷職場暴力之經驗,可提供護理行政管理者擬訂職場暴力防治與因應策略之依據,期降低職場暴力發生率,營造安全優質工作環境。

The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences and perceptions among nurses facing violence in their workplaces. A descriptive survey using systematic sampling was conducted among nursing staff in a medical center. 225 nurses received a semi-structured questionnaire to collect data. The response rate was 77.3%, with a final 174 valid questionnaires. The major findings were as follows: (1) 83.9% of the nurses reported experiencing work-related violence; (2) 74.0% had experienced violence in the workplace this year; (3) The violence resources major from patients (72.6%); (4) 82.2% direct verbal aggressions occurred most frequently; (5) Perceptions towards the violence were anger, hurt, and wanting to cry; (6) 55.5% reported the situation to their head nurses who mostly used support and coping strategies. The study results could help nursing administrators develop workplace violence prevention strategies. We hope to reduce the incidence of workplace violence and to create a safe and high quality working environment.
