職場登階運動對護理人員睡眠、疲倦/活力度與健康促進生活型態之研究

The Effect of Workplace Stair-Climbing Exercise on Sleep, Fatigue/Stamina, and Health-Promoting Lifestyle in Nurses

摘要


提升護理人員體能,可增進輪班工作耐受性與降低生理機能退化。本研究目的為設計職場登階運動,提供臨床護理人員增進體能。研究為單組前、後測類實驗設計,30位護理人員參與研究介入6週的登階訓練,每週使用公共樓梯通道登階199階三次,每次自行紀錄登階前後心跳速率、Borg自覺費力指數,主持人每週以電話追蹤。研究工具為中譯維辛氏睡眠量表、疲倦/活力量表、健康促進生活型態量表與199階登階測試等。統計分析採paired-t檢定,結果:(1)30位護理人員平均年齡30.1歲,平均睡眠時數6.95小時;(2)護理人員登階運動後測登階速度2分18秒較前測之2分39秒進步21秒;(3)護理人員登階運動可增加活力與減少疲倦,並提升護理人員健康責任生活型態之效果;(4)護理人員連續六週登階運動後,登階費力指數進步,心肺功能有增加之趨勢。本研究建議護理人員可利用職場登階運動每星期至少運動三次,藉由自我體能訓練,改善護理人員輪班對體能、睡眠及健康促進生活型態之影響,進而提昇工作品質及維護病人健康之使命。

Results of researches indicated that physical fitness is an important factor for increasing shifts tolerance and reducing physiological function degeneration. The purpose of this study was to design a stair-climbing exercise program and to evaluate the effect on nurses' sleep patterns and their health-promoting lifestyle. A sample of 30 clinical nurses was selected and pre-post study design was used. Data was collected by questionnaires. A continuous six-week (3 times per week), 199-stair-climbing training program was provided. The Verran and Snyder Halpern Sleep Scale (VSHSS), the Fatigue/Stamina Scale, and health-promoting lifestyle scale were used as research instruments. Also, the stair-climbing test was administered to test the nurses' physical fitness. Paired-t tests were used for data analysis. The important findings were: (1) The nurses' average age was 30.1 years; sleeping hours were 6.95 hours per day; (2)The mean 199-stair-climbing time was 2 minutes 18 seconds, significantly lesser than the pretest; (3)Nurses' physical training program had significant positive effect on stamina, produced less fatigue, and promoted“ health responsibility” lifestyle; (4) The six-week stair-climbing training decreased nurses' ratings of perceived exertion and potentially increased the cardiorespiratory fitness. It is hoped that these results will provide reference to design a good physical training program, and to monitor clinical nurses' shift turns, sleep status, and health-promoting lifestyle. These results can provide administrators with feasible recommendations that can be used to promote nurses' health, to facilitate exercise training and enhance their quality of life style, to promote patients care quality and to improve outcomes for both nurses and patients.
