摘要

氣喘為呼吸道慢性疾病常伴隨顯著氣管痙攣及呼吸道發炎，在已開發國家氣喘的盛行率很高，在澳洲及瑞典甚至超過20%。與氣喘直接相關的醫療費用、治療藥品及醫療器材逐年增高，氣喘之預防及治療益加重要。本文乃針對氣喘疾病之生理學及藥物治療，抗氣喘病藥品之藥物化學及藥理性質深入論述，提供氣喘藥物副作用及照護之參考。

Asthma is a chronic disease of the airways associated with considerable bronchospasm and marked airway inflammation. The prevalence of asthma and asthma-related disorders is high in most developed countries. Recently, the medical costs of asthma treatment, therapeutic drugs, and medical devices have increased annually. The prevention and treatment of asthma is crucial. In this report, the pathophysiology and therapeutics of asthma are reviewed and described. The medicinal chemistry and pharmacologic properties of antiasthmatic agents are introduced for rationalizing drug choices and elucidating potential side effects.
