The major provisions of the《Gender Equity Education Act》, the first comprehensive law to promote substantive gender equality and eliminate gender discrimination through education in Taiwan, are presented with an emphasis on improving and establishing educational resources and environment. Then the current educational practice in Taiwan is reviewed. Finally, in order to emphasize the importance of gender equity education in eliminating sexual harassment and domestic violence, the most recent statistics from both campus and national data sets are examined.
