An Emancipated Woman or a Troublemaker? The Image of "New Woman" in Volker Braun's Drama »Tinka«

東德作家福爾克•布朗(1939-)是一位忠誠的馬克思主義者。他的戲劇作品大都是以生產過程中的人際衝突為主題，並且給予時政嚴厲的批評。因此，他的劇作在東德時期經常無法順利的出版和上演。布朗的劇作「婷卡」(»Tinka«)中，由於自動化的政策女主角婷卡被要求做三年的再教育，但是她回來後卻因政策終止使得她所學的專業知識毫無用處。但是工廠裡沒有一個人向她說實話，就連她的男友也隱瞞著她。從整個工作關係中，她體認到被男人操控，渴望自我解放成為有自信的女性。在這個過程中，她不斷地以激烈的言語向工廠廠長（即其男友）挑釁，逼他說出實情。他無法抵擋她的挑戰，最後，導致其以暴力相對。本文將以馬克斯主義和女性主義的角度來檢視福爾克•布朗的劇作「婷卡」中女人的形象。在論文中筆者將嘗試整理出女人產生自信的過程和其形象，並且加以批判。

The GDR-author Volker Braun (1939-) is a loyal marxist. One major theme of his dramas is the conflict between the people in the process of production. He often criticizes the policy and society of the GDR, and that's why his works often could not be printed and performed in the GDR. In »Tinka« the protagonist has to complete further training for three years in order to meet the new automation technology, but this new technology will not be introduced in the factory. That means, that, when she comes back to work, her further training was for nothing. Nobody in the old factory tells her the truth; even her friend Brenner does not say a word. In this situation, she realizes that she is manipulated by men. She is longing to be a self-conscious woman. During this process of realization she permanently provokes her friend and wants him to tell her the truth. He can not resist her and in the end kills her. This study attempts to investigate the image of woman in Volker Braun's drama »Tinka« from the point of view of Marxism and feminism. I further try to work out the process of Tinkas realization and the image of a conscious woman. At the same time I will criticize it this image
