正常雄鼠,閹割雄鼠與正常雌鼠經八週運動訓練後,各與其靜止組比較,除正常雄鼠之體重因訓練而顯著減輕外,共餘二組均與其靜止組無統計上之區別。 由正常雌雄鼠所得資料,顯示運動對於體重之影響有性別的差異,運動可抑制雄鼠增重,不抑制雌鼠增重。 由閹割雄鼠與正常雄鼠所得資料,或可推斷雄性素係使正常雄鼠因運動而抑制增重因素之一。
Long Evans male rats subjected to exercise training at speed of 1.2 km/hr, 1 hr each day (except Sunday) for 8 weeks have lower body weight and body fat(%) than those of the sedentary controls. However, female rats and castrated male rats subjected to such conditions have approximately the same values as sedentary controls respectively. Thus, there are sex difference in weight gain response to exercise training, androgen may inhibit growth in exercising male rats.
