本土性嗜酸性硫氧化硫化桿菌對鎘及醋酸之毒性效應

摘要


本研究探討本土性嗜酸性硫氧化硫化桿菌對鎘及醋酸之毒性效應。此二種物質對此微生物有相同程度的毒性反應。依據Log-Probit分析所得之EC50值,對此鎘及醋酸而言分別為200及210ppm,導致毒性單位分別為0.5及0.48。鎘及醋酸對此菌種之毒性效應乃為直接對其硫氧化反應產生抑制效應的結果。

The toxic effects of cadmium and acetic acid on the indigenous Thiobacillus thiooxidans were determined in this work. Both compounds exhibit about the same extent of toxicity toward the growth of this microorganism. The EC50s of the dose-response curves derived by means of Log-Probit analysis were found to be 200 and 210 ppm for cadmium and acetic acid, resulting in a toxic unit of 0.5 and 0.48, respectively. The toxicity of cadmium and acetic acid to this microorganism is due to their direct inhibitory effects on elemental sulfur oxidation.
