The Growth Cycle of Cambium and the Structure of the Vascular Tissue in the Corm of Isoetes Taiwanensis

The structure of the vascular tissue and the origin as well as the seasonal growth of the vascular cambium in the corm of Isoetes taiwanensis have been studied. A periodical change in the cambial activity was observed, and the presence of an extensive one-banded secondary thickening tracheary elements in secondary vascular tissues was noted.
