Experiment on Seed Potato Supply (Ⅰ) The Primary Study of Using Ammonium Thiocyanate and Ethylene Chlorohydrin to Break Tuber Dormancy of Seed Potato

摘要


本試驗之主要結果摘錄如下。 (一)採收後經過一個月之馬鈴薯休眠種薯,使用1/120 Ammonium thiocyanate水溶液浸漬1小時,可得80%至100%之催芽效果。 (二)使用1/120 Ammonium thiocyanate催芽時無論種薯大小均須切開爲半粒而浸漬處理,浸漬後並需種植,始可得良好結果。 (三)催芽時使用6% Ethylene Chlorohydrin水溶液者,比使用1/120 Ammonium thiocyanate水溶液者效果爲差。 (四)倘使用6% Ethylene Chlorohydrin 水溶液浸漬催芽時,種薯不可切開浸漬,否則容易腐爛。

1. The dormant seed potatoes after one month from harvest can obtain 80 to 100 per cent effect of forcing germination by soaking them into 1/120 Ammonium Thiocyanate solution for one hour. 2. When using Ammonium Thiocyanate for forcing germination regardless the size of seed potato, all must be cut half for soaking and have to plant after soaking then good result can be obtained. 3. The forcing germination effect of 6% Ethylene Chlorohydrin soltition is less than 1/120 Ammonium Thiocyanate solution. 4. By using 6% Ethylene Chlorohydrin solution to forcing germination, the seed potato may not be cut off for soaking, or it would rot easily.
