摘要
自1979至1981年於本省中部地區調查玫瑰(Rosa rugosa)害蟲之種類與其爲害。共發現害蟲28種，分別屬於7目17科，及一種葉蟎。其中花薊馬(Thrips hawaiiensis)，臺灣花薊馬(Frankliniella formosae)，棉蚜(Aphis gossypii)，臺灣青銅金龜(Anomala expensa)，赤脚銅金龜(Anomala cupripes)，長金龜(Adoretus sinicus)、斜紋夜蛾(Spodoptera litura)、臺灣黃毒蛾(Euproctis taiwana)、小白紋毒蛾(Orgyia postica)及神澤氏葉蟎(Tetranychus kanzawai)等較常發生且爲害嚴重。各類害蟲之發生時期、生活習性與爲害特性等均在文中分別敘述討論。

From two year observations (1979-1980) in central Taiwan, we have found 28 species of insects belonging to seven orders and 17 families, and one species of mite destructive to rose (Rosa rugosa). Among them, the flower thrips (Thrips hawaiiensis), the Taiwan flower thrip (Frankliniella formosae), the cotton aphid (Aphis gossypii), the June beetles (Anomala expensa, A. cupripes), the brown chafer (Adoretus sinicus), the army worm (Spodoptera litura), the Taiwan yellow moth (Euproctis taiwana), the small tussock moth (Orgyia postica) and the Kanzawa spider mite (Tetranychus kanzawai) are more common and cause serious injuries. This paper presents results of investigations made on type of damage, habits of feeding, and time of occurrence of these pests.
