甜玉米田間局部噴佈蘇力菌(Bacillus thuringiensis)防治亞洲玉米螟(Ostrinia furnacalis)效果評估

Assessment on Partial Spraying of Bacillus thuringiensis for the Asian Corn Borer (Ostrinia furnacalis) Control in Sweet Corn Field

摘要


於1992年秋作超甜玉米田,選用對非標的生物較低毒之蘇力菌(Bacillus thuringiensis kurstaki Berliner)作為亞洲玉米螟(Ostrinia furnacalis Gúenée)之防治藥劑,並根據該蟲蛀入玉米莖與穗部之為害習性作為主要施藥時機和部位,初步評估其防治效果、用藥量及施藥時問。由田間調查結果,得知輪生初期以陶斯松(5% Dursban)粒劑防治可減少玉米莖與雄花被玉米螟為害,並配合自雄花抽穗前7~10天開始以蘇力菌進行防治,對於提高玉米完整穗產量與總產量可收相當之效果。僅局部性地在玉米螟鑽入玉米之主要部位,如輪生心葉、果穗(包括絲部、穗部及穗基部)進行施藥,至收穫為止共約5次,所得完整穗產量和穗總產量與全株噴施處理無差異。此種蘇力菌局部噴佈法,平均每次之用藥量與施藥時間比全株噴佈法減少約三分之二,不但減少用藥量,操作上更為省時省工。

A microbial insecticide, Bacillus thuringiensis Berliner, which is relatively low toxic to non-target organisms, was used to control the Asian corn borer (Ostrinia furnacalis (Guénée)) in sweet corn field. Corn stalk and ear were the major plant parts received treatments recording to boring characteristics, and taking a preliminary assessment on the control efficacy. The results showed that the application of 5% Dursban granules at early whorl stage could reduce the injury of corn stalk and tassel by corn borer, however the yield of marketable ear and total yield did not increase in fall crop 1992. There was quite efficacy on corn borer control by applications of B. thuringiensis from 7-10 days before taselling until harvest. Partial treatment on the newly whorl leaf, silk, ear and comb base of corn plant could obtain the same satisfactory control of corn borer as whole-plant treatment in sweet corn, and save about two-third amount of B. thuringiensis insecticides and labor.
