仙草優良品系區域適應性試驗

Regional Adaptability Trials of Elite Hsian-tsao Strains (Mesona procumbens Hemsl.)

摘要


以本所新選育的78-S-1及78-T-1及桃園區改良場選育之TYY3及TYY4等四個山草品系,於臺灣北、中及南部五個區域進行二年試驗,探討各區域不同年度間氣候因子對乾株、乾葉產量及葉凝膠品質表現與仙草生長的影響,並分析此等品系之適應性及三項主要農藝性狀之穩定性。試驗結果發現雨量因子影響仙草生育比氣溫與日照時數因子大;乾株及乾葉產量表現,78-S-1及78-T-1二品系,於中南部地區表現較佳,而TYY3及TYY4品系則於北部地區表現較優。葉凝膠品質比較各區均以TYY3品系最高,次為78-T-1品系,而TYY4品系最低。綜合合併兩年五地區之變方分析結果,發現乾株、乾葉產量及葉凝膠品質等三項性狀之環境主效應均呈極顯著,品系間之乾葉產量及葉凝膠品質性狀亦呈極顯著效應,同時,三項性狀之環境與品系交感效應均呈極顯著效應。由環境指標估值結果,發現嘉義縣水上鄉之環境最適,苗栗縣銅鑼區最差。穩定性分析結果,乾株產量以TYY3品的表現最穩定,但高產潛力比78-T-1品系小,而78-S-1品系雖乾株產量最高,惟表現最不穩定;乾葉產量表現亦以TYY3品系現較穩定,78-S-1品系雖屬穩定,但表現最差;葉凝膠品質表現,則以78-T-1品系最穩定,而TYY3品系雖最高,但表現最不穩定。

Two promising Hsian-taso strains, 78-S-1 and 78-T-1 selected at TARI, were planting at 5 locations in northern, central and sorthern parts of Taiwan in 1994 and 1995, to investigate the effects of climatic factors on plant growth, performance of agronomic characteristics, gel formation strength, and yield stability of Hsian-tsao. The results found that precipitation played a more important role for the growth of Hsian-tsao than air temperature and sunshine duration factors. Both 78-S-1 and 78-T-1 strains planted at Shui-Shang and Taichung had higher average dry-plant yield and dry-leaf yield per hectare than those of grown at other locations, however, TYY3 and TTY4 strains performanced the best in both characters at Tao-Yuan and Hsin-Chu. Results showed that TYY3 strain had higher gel formation strength at any location following by 78-T-1 and 78-S-1 strains with TYY4 strain the lowest. Results from combined analysis of variance on the performances of average dry-plant yield, average dry-leaf yield and average gel formation strength found that mian effect of location and interaction effects among three strains with locations were significant at 1% level on the performances of three characters as well as average dry-leaf yield and average gel formation strength among three strains. Results from estimating environmental index and found that the best location for growing Hsian-tsao plants was at Shui-Shang with Miao-Li the worst. Results from analyzing yield stabilities showed that TYY3 strain was more stable in average dry-plant yield and average dry-leaf yield than 78-S-1 and 78-T-1 strains. Strain 78-T-1 has higher potential in average dry-plant yield than TYY3 in good environment, while 78-S-1 strain with stable but low dry-leaf yield was good but unstable in average dry-plant yield. Results from comparing stability of average gel formation strength among three Hsian-tsao strains found that 78-T-1 strain was more stable, while TYY3 strain was unstable with the best gel formation strength.
