外來白胚乳玉米自交系間F1雜種後裔之產量潛能探討

Yield Potential of F1 Hybrids among Exotic White Endosperm Inbred Lines of Maize

摘要


本研究以7個外來自交系間相互雜交而成的21個F1雜種,及自然授粉之台南白族群為對照種,分別於1995年春(3月28日)、夏(5月8日)、秋(9月4日)及冬季裡作(10月26日)於農試所試驗田進行試驗,以探討外來種源自交系間F1雜種之產量潛能。結果顯示,外來自交系種源之F1雜種後裔,一般具有較多之行數,較粗之穗徑及較小之百粒重及百粒體積之遺傳特性。其產量表現,在夏作則僅有部份F1雜種與台南白相近;但在春作、秋作及冬裡作環境下,大部份F1雜種其乳熟期之鮮果穗重及生理成熟期之果穗乾重及籽粒乾重均較對照種高產,特別是秋作及冬季裡作更為突出。經四期作之比較,顯示外來種源所表現之產量雜種優勢對國內玉米改良深具應用價值。

Twenty-one F1 hybrids derived from seven exotic maize inbred lines (CML76, CML84, CML93, CML98, CML104, SK160-l and 1P123-1) and open-pollinated Tainan-white (TNW) population were used as materials to evaluate the heterosis and yield potential for green corn. Experiment was conducted at Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute in four crop seasons of 1995. The results showed that these F1s' have more kernel number and ear diameter than TNW, while the 100-kernel weight and 100-kernel volume were smaller TNW. Most of F1 hybrids among exotic inbred lines produced higher yield than that TNW for ear fresh weight and grain dry weight in the fall and winter crop seasons. It is expected that information of heterosis investigated among these exotic inbred lines will be very useful for domestic breeding program.
