印度洋產與臺灣近海產正鰹的外部形態特性值的比較

Morphometric Study on Skipjack Tunas of Taiwan and Indian Ocean

摘要


(1)以變積分析及判別函數分析法討論近海3個樣品和東印度洋區5個樣品之間的外部形態上的異同情形。 (2)就這兩大海區而言,外部形態上有顯著的差異存在,近海之正鰹外形上似乎較爲粗短,東印度洋區則較爲細長。 (3)以變積分析的結果,就形質而言,以H.L.的差異最大,其次是S.P.及S.A.,再次爲S.I.及S.V.,而以S.II.最小。 (4)以判別函數分析法分析的結果,和變積分析法的結果大致相同,不同海區之間的差異極爲顯著。 (5)爲顧及日後收集樣品之方便,曾就形態特性値之種類及個數加以研討,認爲就正鰹而言,以H.L.及S.A.,已足提供形態研究之資料。 (6)西部太平洋區所產之正鰹和東印度洋區所產之正鰹,並不屬於同一族羣,至於該區內所屬日本沿海,臺灣西南海區,Palau附近海區之正鰹,是否屬於同一族羣,則有待進一步研究。

As a part of the Pacific-wide study of the population structure of skipjack tuna (Katsu-wonus pelamis), eight samples-three from the waters southwest of Shiao-Ryuchu and five from the eastern Indian Ocean-have been collected. Comparison was made first by covariance analysis on each character individually; then, generalized distance function analysis was employed for multiple characters comparison. Finally, considerations were made on the adequacy of selected characters as well as the ideal numbers of characters to be used for multiple characters analysis. The results obtained reveal that: (1) there is a significant difference in morphometric measurements between the samples collected from the waters southwest of Shiao-Ryuchu and from the eastern Indian Ocean, (2) two morphometric measurements, i.e., head length and snout to insertion of anal fin, was sufficient for morph-ometric study in case of skipjack tuna.
