黃鰭鮪產卵生態之初步調查

Primary Studies on the Spawning Activities of Yellow-fin Tuna on the East Coast of Taiwan

摘要

本研究報告係調查中國南海10°N以北，菲律賓東北角及臺灣東部三個海區之黄鰭鮪之生殖腺之成熟度，以作人工孵化之依據。
體長組成分析結果則以中國南海10°N以北之黄鰭鮪其尾叉長由90～170公分，其峯度在130～140公分爲最大。次爲菲律賓東北角，峯度在120～130公分，最小爲臺灣東部，其峯度在110～120之間。

Data were collected on board of tuna longline fishing boat from July 1979 to June 1980, which includes measurement on fork length and weight of ovary. Surface water temperature is also recorded on location.
The east coast of Taiwan is considered to be the spawning ground for yellow-fin tuna in the near waters judging from the seasonal changes in Goned Index, it is found that spawning occurs mostly in March and April.
Using maturity stages Ⅲ, Ⅳ, and Ⅳ R as indicate or of first spawning, it is found that about half of the fish reached 120 cm attain these stages. Most of the matured fish were caught within a surface water temperature range between 26℃ and 30.5℃.
