Black croaker, Atrobucca nibe (Jordan et Thompson) is one of the most important economic fish in Taiwan, which were caught from the surrounding waters of Guei Shan Island in northeastern coast of Taiwan, by pair trawlers or long lines. 1,257 specimens were collected from Ta-shi fish market during the period from December, 1980 to March, 1982. The food items found in stomach contents included shrimps, fishes, squid and other unidentifed items, among them shrimps occupy 54% frequence of occurrence and there is no seasonal definited change in the empty occurrence throughout the year.
