Juvenile thornfish(Terapon jarbua)were collected at intervals of two hours for a108-hour period from July 1 to 5,1993.Stomachs with contents were weighed, and fooditems were analyzed to determine their feeding rhythm. There was a stereotypical diurnalfeeding rhythm with the maximum(peak)in the afternoon(14:00)and the minimum(emptystomach)in the night before sunrise.Copepods were the most dominant prey(83.09%of occurrence frequency),which was followed by chlorophytcs(29.44%)and decapods(24.10%).The frequency of occurrence of copepods corresponded with the feeding rhythm.
