台灣九孔養殖技術效率之分析
Measuring Technical Efficiency of Small Abalone Farms in Taiwan
摘要
本文利用台灣省漁業局80-84年間養殖漁戶經濟調查原始樣本資料，經由Cobb-Douglas生產函數邊界分析法，顯示九孔養殖場在技術效率上存有統計上顯著性地人爲或管理的誤差，養殖場間的技術效率差異確實存在。造成這項差異最具影響的因素以養殖經驗、場主教育程度及年齡爲主。本文亦發現養殖場技術效率值沒有一家低於0.5的水準，大部分都在0.7以上，其中以0.8-0.9爲大宗，所佔比例在45%左右。除外，陸上養殖型態的技術效率亦顯著性地高於潮間帶。

The technical efficiency of small abalone farms production is estimated under the application of the Cobb-Douglas production frontier model by using survey data of Taiwan Fisheries Bureau with different size of farms and types of cultivation from 1991 to 1995. This paper shows that there exists significant variation of technical efficiency among farms and factors, such as experience, age and education level of farmers, do have significant effects on the technical efficiency of small abalone farms production. Besides, we also obtain the result that the technical efficiency of inland culture is significantly higher than that of tidal culture.
