Effects of Dietary Copper Supplementation Levels on Growth and Physiological Responses of Tilapia Fed the Soybean-Based Diet

含豆粉基礎飼料添加銅對吳郭魚成長及生理表現之影響

This study evaluated effects of dietary copper (Cu) supplementation levels on growth and physiological responses of hybrid tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus × O. aureus, fed the soybean-based diet. The basal diet was supplemented with copper sulfate at 0, 4, 8 and 12 mg Cu/kg diet, resulting 6.90, 11.86, 15.15 and 17.36 mg Cu/kg diet, respectively. In total, four experimental diets were fed to triplicate groups of fish (initial weight: 0.73 ± 0.01 g) in a recirculating system for 8 weeks. The final weight, weight gain, feed intake, feed efficiency, protein efficiency ratio, survival, whole body zinc (Zn) concentration, hepatic Cu/Zn SOD activity and plasma ceruloplasmin activity did not differ significantly among all dietary treatments. Whole body Cu concentration generally increased by the increment of dietary Cu supplementation levels. All the values of whole body Cu retention were negative, ranging from -32.75 to -102.90 μg. Results indicated that Cu is not necessary to supplement in a soybean meal-based diet for hybrid tilapia. It also indicated that tilapia can tolerate phytic acid up to 17.36 g/kg diet without any negative effects on growth and minerals utilization.

本研究為探討含豆粉基礎飼料添加銅對吳郭魚成長及生理表現之影響。基礎飼料中分別添加0、4、8及12 mg Cu/kg diet硫酸銅,實際銅含量分別為6.90、11.86、15.15及17.36 mg Cu/kg diet,實驗共分為四組,每組三重複,分別餵予初重0.73±0.01 g之吳郭魚稚魚,實驗為期八週。餵食不同飼料八週後之吳郭魚末重、增重率、攝食量、飼料效率、蛋白質效率、存活率、全魚體鋅濃度、肝臟銅鋅型超氧岐化酶及血漿藍胞漿素活性於各組間均無顯著差異。全魚體銅濃度隨飼料中銅添加量增加而上升。全魚體銅保留量均為負值,數值介於-32.75至-102.90 μg之間。研究結果顯示當吳郭魚飼料以豆粉為基礎時毋須額外添加銅,此外吳郭魚可耐受至少17.36 g/kg diet植酸,且不會造成成長與礦物質利用之負面影響。
