The Analysis of Thermodynamic Condition on Damage Healing in Materials and in Situ Observation of Crack Healing Process

In this paper the thermodynamic conditions and the driving force of damage healing in materials is analyzed by applying the inner variable theory. The matter migration model during the damage healing is established and the full process of crack healing is obtained by in situ observation using SEM.
