表面聲波濾波器的設計準則

A Design Rule of Surface Acoustic Wave Filter

摘要


在個人行動通訊中,濾波器是手機內部極重要的零組件之一,為了符合高頻使用的需求,在製程上朝微小化進行,材料的選擇心以高機電耦合系數及高波速的壓電基板為主,而特性考量上著重在交指叉轉換器(Interdigital Transducer, IDT)的設計以及其波的傳遞作用,希望能藉由反射波與散射波的再利用,使得濾波器的特性能夠達到要求之規格,可是濾波器本身的特性受到多種因素的影響,包括反射閘的多寡,傳輸距離與延遲距離的大小,重疊長度的長短,金屬電極的厚度,還有指叉對數的數量等等,所以本文將由實驗與模組的比較,推演至高頻的元件設計,並針對多種變數進行一系列的探討,希將各種變數的影響比重列出,且分別使用傳統的等效電路模型與耦合理論(coupling-of-Mode model, COM)模型來討論,以評估設計濾波器的時候能夠充分掌撏其特性,使得元件能夠達到最佳化的要求。

The surface acoustic wave (SAW) filters have been widely used in the personal cellular communications. For the high frequency, the trend in saw filters is toward reducing the size while improving the electrical characteristics such as the insertion losses. It is important to compute the SAW propagations which include the calculation of reflection and some scattering parameters. For the reasons, we use the coupling-of-mode (COM) model and equivalent-circuit model to compare with the experiments, and find out the design trends to improve the SAW characteristics. The influence of the parameters includes delay lines, the number of input/output IDTs, and the overlap of IDTs, etc. When the simulations have very good accuracy, the characteristics of the SAW devices could be showed and then we can deduce to the high frequency devices design.
