Wolf Warrior Diplomacy is the name given to Chinese diplomats adopting a tough and aggressive stance. From July 2019 to May 2021, Chinese diplomats were provocative in their words and made a series of offensive remarks. The formation of this diplomatic style is closely related to the confrontation between China and the U.S., the party-state system, the rise of domestic nationalism, and the practice of the Chinese Dream. Under the guidance of the Chinese Dream, national consciousness and patriotism are stimulated. China's diplomatic style has gradually shifted to proactive attacks with an emphasis on "make some contributions." In order to comprehensively understand the rise of Wolf Warrior Diplomacy, this article adopted the domestic and international analytical viewpoints of neoclassical realism to explore the formation factors of this diplomacy from the perspective of the international system, domestic situation, and decision-makers' cognition.
