摘要
本實驗使用一座鹽浴内盛硼化合物，在高溫使碳鋼、合金鋼、和非鐵金屬硼化。硼擴散進入金屬後可以產生一層堅硬耐磨的覆膜。工具、模具、滾輪、和各種機械零件經硼化後能增加使用壽命。

Carbon steels, alloy steels, and non-ferrous metals were borided employing a salt bath containing boron compounds. In this process, boron diffuses into the metals to form a hard, wear-resistant coating. It can be used to increase the lives of tools, dies, rollers, and various machine components.
