電渣重熔精煉對冷作工具鋼SKD 11之顯微組織與機械性質之影響

摘要


電渣重熔精煉(ESR)製程具有精煉與改善鑄錠組織的功能。本實驗中以SKD 11廢料經大氣感應熔煉(AIM)與電渣重熔二次精煉製成鋼錠,再經熱鍛加工及熱處理後,作機械性測試及材質評估。並與AIM材及進口材相互比較,以便探討ESR製程對SKD 11鋼材之組織與性能的影響。實驗結果顯示,在適當之熔煉條件下,ESR製程能够改善鋼錠之鑄造組織,有效地細化碳化物網狀結構及降低非金屬介在物之含量,而改進鑄錠之熱加工性。同時配合適宜之熱加工及熱處理程序,ESR材可以獲得比AIM材或進口材較佳之強度與靭性的組合。

Electroslag remelting (ESR) process offers the advantages of refining and microstructural improvement. Mechanical properties were obtained from the hot-forged, heat-treated ESR billets, which the primary melting was conducted with air induction melting (AIM) of SKD-11 scraps. The influence of ESR process on the microstructure and properties have been concluded through comparisons with those of AIM and imported billets. This study reveals that, with proper melting conditions, the improvement of cast structure, effective refinement of carbide network, reduction of nonmetallic inclusion content and also the promotion of hot-workability are obtained by ESR process. The ESR billets have shown the superior combination of strength and toughness to those of AIM and imported billets, after proper hot-working and heat-treating.
