林口台地紅土基本特性研究
Physical Properties of the Linkou Laterites
摘要
林口台地係由厚約10m紅土層蓋於巨厚礫石層所組成，標高在200至250m，面積廣達60 km^2以上。紅土係礫石之風化產物，兩者之間呈漸次移變之關係。本計畫曾就礦物學觀點，對林口台地紅土之粘土礦物組成、構造及性質做詳盡之研究，並已另文發表。本文擬進一步就實用上之需要探討該紅土之基本特性。

The ±10m thick lateritic soil distributed widely on the Linkou terrace (more than 60 km^2) is believed to be the weathering products of the thick gravels underneath. A mineralogical study on the compositions, structures and properties of clay minerals in the Linkou laterites has been published previously. This paper tries to discuss the physical properties of the laterites from the practical aspects.
