電磁攪拌器的冶金效應及其應用

The Effects of Electromagnetic stirring (EMS) on Continuously Cast Steels

摘要


面對日趨劇烈的市場競爭,如何在兼顧產能的前題下提升產品品質已是煉鋼業者最矚目的課題之一,除了一些不同幅度的設備更新之外,在連鑄機上配置電磁攪拌器(EMS),藉改善製程來克服鑄胚的品質缺陷亦漸成為一股潮流。近年來,隨著凝固理論的日漸完備,電磁攪拌器的應用也愈來愈廣。本文係從生成等軸晶及驅散溶質的角度來探討其冶金效應。此外,本文也將介紹中鋼公司扁鋼胚、大鋼胚連鑄機使用電磁攪拌器的經驗及其實績。

Facing the more and more severe competition in steel market, it is becoming an important subject how steelmaker can improve quality without sacrificing the productivity by any restrictive practice. To meet these demands, not only the revamped facilities are updated, but also the electromagetic stirring (EMS) process plays a very important role in continuous casting of steel to improve quality against micro and macro structure defects. With the aid of basic researches on solidification control, EMS is now becoming more progressive and acceptable, this report is to summarize the metallurgical effects and practical applications about the phenomena of equiaxed crystallization and solute redistribution. Moreover, the results obtained during trials at China Steel Corporation with respect to the effect of EMS on slab and bloom quality are also reported.
