Development of High Strength Hot-Rolled Steels for Automobile Wheel

摘要


高強度汽車輪圈用鋼由於必須同時滿足規格、加工製程及使用環境的要求,對合金元素的添加量及雜質元素的容許量,都有極嚴格的限制。經探討Ti,Nb,Si,S等元素及製程參數的冶金效應,本研究已成功的開發出兼具優良強度、延性、擴孔性及銲接性之60公斤級輪圈用鋼之合金設計。並透過填銲鋼胚現場軋延及迴歸分析技術,開發出量產之最適條件,大幅縮减試製的時間與費用。所開發之輪圈用鋼已成功的製造出高強度輪圈,並通過嚴格的疲勞試驗。由於輪圈用鋼之品質,可符合大多數汽車結構性零組件之製造需求,高強度輪圈用鋼的開發,可望帶動汽車零組件高強度化的發展。

High strength hot-rolled steels for automobile wheel have to simutaneously fulfill the stringent requirements in specification, manufacturing process, and service conditions. The chemical compositions and impurity contents of these steels must be precisely controlled. By investigating the metallurgical effects of alloying elements, Ti, Nb, Si, and S and process parameters, a 60 kg grade steel for automobile wheel, which possesses good strength, ductility, hole expansion property, and weldability has been developed in this study. The time and cost consumed to achieve successful mill production of this steel have been greatly saved through regression analysis of the properties of six pilot steels which were embedded in a mill slab and rolled in a hot strip mill. Automobile wheels made from this steel have passed fatigue tests under simulated service conditions. The success of this high strength wheel steel is expected to stimulate the development of other high strength automobile parts in Taiwan.
