利用井測資料估算地層強度之研究

Estimation of Aquifer's Formation Strength by Using Well Logging Data

本研究的主要目的是利用井測資料估算含水砂層的地層強度之相關的參數,這些參數可作為研究地下水井之破壞及抽水井出砂以及地層下陷研究之用。本研究主要整合文獻中的理論基礎,利用井下的密度井測及聲波井測資料來計算剪力模數(G)及容積壓縮性(Cb)等地層強度參數。主要的研究工作包括:(1)井下井測資料分析與計算、(2)地下含水砂層深度區間的判定及(3)地層強度參數的計算。本研究所分析計算地層參數的井計有:台西五號井、台西八號井及金湖一號井等三口井(位於雲林西南沿海地區)。以台西五號井為例,該井之井測資料自深度30到320公尺之間。在七個含水砂層之中,剪力模數(G)值範圍為0.17~0.43 x 10^6 psi(平均值為0.254x10^6 psi),容積壓縮性(Cb)值範圍為0.99〜2.4x10^(-6) psi^(-1)(平均值為1.74x10^(-6) psi^(-1))。研究區域內各井含水砂層之剪力模數(G)值隨深度的增加而漸增,由最淺砂層(30到53公尺)的0.188x10^6 psi增加到最深砂層(485到494公尺)的0.319x10^6 psi;容積壓縮度(Cb)值隨深度的增加而漸減,由最淺砂層(30到53公尺)的2.27x10^(-6) psi^(-1)減少到最深砂層(485到494公尺)的1.39x10^(-6) psi^(-1)。這些資料顯示地層強度指標(剪力模數與容積壓縮性之比值)遠小於臨界值0.8x10^(-12) psi^2,因此是屬於出砂地層。

The purpose of this study is to use well log data to estimate parameters of formation strength of aquifers. The information of these parameters can be used for evaluating failure of a wellbore. This study has integrated and modified the theories in literature, using formation density log and sonic log data to calculate shear modulus (G), bulk compressibility (Cb). The main works of this study include: (1) well logging data analysis, (2) identification of aquifer, and (3) calculation of the parameters of formation strength. The well logs of three wells(Ths-5, Ths-8, and Gh-1) in south-western coastal area of Yun-Lin were analyzed in this study to estimate the parameters of formation strength. For example, there are seven aquifers identified in Ths-5 well between 30 and 320 meters. The ranges of shear modulus are 0.17 ~ 0.43x10^6 psi (average value is 0.254x10^6 psi); the ranges of bulk compressibility are 0.99 ~ 2.4x10^(-6) psi^(-1) (average value is 1.74x10^(-6) psi^(-1)) Based on the calculations from these wells, shear modulus in aquifers increases as depth increase, from the average of 0.188x10^6 psi in the interval of 30 to 50m depth to the average of 0.319x10^6 psi in the interval of 485 to 494m. Bulk compressibility decreases as depth increase, from 2.27x10^(-6) psi^(-1) in the shallowest aquifer to 1.39X10^(-6) psi^(-1) in the deepest aquifer at about 500m. Based on these results, the formation strength index (the ratio of shear modulus and bulk compressibility) is far below critical value of 0.8x10^(-12) psi^2. Thus the formation investigated in study area is a sand-out formation.
