高硫快削鋼煉鑄技術開發

Steelmaking Technology For Resulphurized Free Cutting Steels

摘要


國內快削鋼市場原以鉛系為主流,分別以棒線成品或鋼胚半成品代軋方式進口。為因應國內需求,突破以鉛系為主流之快削鋼進口料獨佔市場;同時考量鉛具毒性,與將來鉛系產品受限等環保因素,乃以現有設備試煉高硫快削鋼。此鋼種因具有高硫、高氧含量,對煉鋼製程來說,極具挑戰性。除了製程順暢為一貫作業鋼廠基本要求外;介在物之去蕪存菁,即避免高硬質氧化物,與硫化物之大型化,更為良好切削性所必備。經採真空脫氧及造渣之複合精煉製程,以及連鑄作業,降低澆鑄速度,緩冷以促進硫化物大形化。另採用低SiO_2含量耐火材鑄嘴,成功完成二連鑄試量產;突破先前高含氧鋼種澆鑄時,產生SiO_2-MnO低熔點相,造成耐火材浸入式注嘴蝕斷,單爐即不能完鑄之生產瓶頸,達成製程順暢之要求。對此新產品下游客戶反應品質良好;由開發至今不足二年時間,高硫快削鋼累計產值達一億元以上,目前年需求量預計達8萬噸。本鋼種已正式宣佈開發成功,突破進口料獨佔市場,不僅擴大本公司產品領域,亦協助國內客戶開發料源,降低其生產成本。

For the purposes of supporting local industry and environmental concern, resulphurized free cutting steels were developed at CSC since leaded steel has been supplied from abroad exclusively for a long time. However, due to high sulfur and high oxygen contents of resulphurized steel melts, conventional steelmaking technologies have to be challenged. These include vacuum and slag refining process, slow casting speed of bloom, and adopting low content SiO_2 submerged nozzle refractory material. With these practices, not only smooth production of resulphurized steels via continuous casting process but high quality products with optimized oxide and sulfide inclusions were achieved. The market growth of these new products has also been encouraging, and products worth more than NT$100 million were produced in two years. An 80,000 ton annual production of this new product is estimated. Furthermore, local industry is benefited from this lower cost material source.
