利用硫化氫沉澱法製備硫化鋅摻雜鋱之發光特性研究

摘要


在發光材料中硫化鋅廣泛應用之原因有二:(1)硫化鋅具有寬能隙特性,是良好的母體基材;(2)可以利用摻雜不同的激活劑,改變其發光顏色。早在二次世界大戰時,硫化鋅就被應用在夜光塗料上。目前在商業上常被用來當做薄膜電致發光(Electroluminescence,EL)元件之一。尤其重要的是硫化鋅摻雜稀土元素,如ZnS:Tb,F在EL上是一個很好的綠色發光體。本研究利用硫化氫沉澱法製備硫化鋅母體原料,再應用固態反應法加入稀土元素鋱當激活劑,並於保護性氣體中在溫度1125℃燒成。燒成粉末研磨至10-20μm後進行測試其發光特性。實驗結果得知XRD及PL光譜分析在pH=3、Tb:KF濃度為1:3時之ZnS粉末發光強度最佳。

ZnS has been widely used as a luminesence materials: it has a broad energy gap that makes it a good host material; and it could be doped with different activator to change the luminescence color. During the Second World War, ZnS was used as the luminous coatings. Presently ZnS is used as one of the electroluminescence device elements. Especially important is when doped with rare-earth, such as ZnS: Tb, F, which is a good green phosphor in EL. This research uses the precipitation method to generate ZnS and the solid state method to dope with the rare-earth Tb (also used as an activator). Then, the phosphors arc fired at 1125°C under a protective atmosphere. Finally, the products are ground to 10-20μm for luminiscence tests: Based on the results of this study, the greatest luminescence intensity of ZnS host powder takes place at pH=3 and Tb:KF=1:3.
