低碳鋼電阻銲接管件金屬流線檢測技術

A new etching inspection technology for metal flow in Low-Carbon Steel ERW Pipe

摘要


以低倍率放大鏡檢視經酸液浸蝕之銲接金屬流線特徵,為電阻銲(electric resistance welding,ERW)製管業者確認銲接品質最常使用的檢測方法,但由於較低碳含量鋼種的銲接金屬流線,其浸蝕效果不明顯而衍生不易檢測的困擾,經研究利用苦味酸隔水加熱煮蝕法,控制酸液濃度、煮蝕溫度及煮蝕時間,獲致極佳金屬流線輪廓,本文建立的ERW銲接金屬流線檢驗標準金相作業流程,可用以檢視ERW製管之銲接品質,鑑定製管不良的肇因,進而提供適切改善對策。

To assure the etching-metal welding quality, the ERW pipe manufacturer usually inspects through a magnifier the characteristics of metal flow. It is well known that metal flow is not clear for visual examination in low carbon steel by traditional etching method. To solve this problem, a new special etching procedure is developed. The inspection technique required immersing the sample in a hot picral solution which is indirectly heated through a water bath. Metal flow can be clearly identified by an appropriate control in etchant concentration, heating time and temperature. It allows us not only verifying the welding quality but also providing a way to improve welding procedure.
