鹽水地層二氧化碳封存量估算之研究

A Case Study on Estimating Carbon Dioxide Storage Capacity of a Saline Aquifer

摘要


本研究主要目的是利用解析法及數值法,估算TCS礦區二氧化碳封存場址(鹽水地層)的有效封存量,同時,利用數值法計算各種封存機制的二氧化碳封存量。TCS礦區的QCL鹽水層為背斜構造,面積為6.9×10^8ft^2,平均厚度656ft,地層深度約為5074ft。在解析法中使用體積法及壓縮法來計算二氧化碳封存量,由解析法所得到的二氧化碳有效封存量約為0.11~2.59億噸。數值法使用加拿大CMG公司的GEM-GHG數值模擬軟體計算,所得到的二氧化碳有效封存量為3.43~5.77億噸。利用數值模擬反推之有效封存因子約為0.53~0.90,此因子可以應用於其他相似條件之鹽水地層估算有效封存量之用。

The purpose of this study is to use analytical and numerical simulation methods to estimate carbon dioxide (CO2) storage capacity of a saline aquifer in TCS field. The saline aquifer is the anticlinal KCL formation having an area of 6.9×10^8ft^2, thickness 656ft, and formation depth 5074ft. The volumetric and compressibility estimates are used in the analytical study. The estimated CO2 effective storage capacity from the analytical methods is ranging from 11 to 259 million tons. The GEM-GHG compositional reservoir simulator is used in the numerical study. The CO2 effective storage capacity calculated from numerical simulation is from 343 to 577million tons. The derived storage coefficient is 0.53~0.90 depending on CO2 injecting operations and location of injecting wells.
